X-Static Silver Fiber
X-Static products are fabrics with a layer of pure silver permanently bonded to the surface of a textile fiber. Silver is widely used in the textile and medical industries because of its natural properties, abundance and lightweight.
- Anti-microbial: eliminates odor causing bacteria and certain fungi
- Anti-odor: inhibits bacteria and fungi growth and neutralizes ammonia and denatured proteins
- All-natural: safe and non-toxic, contains no chemicals or pesticides
- Thermodynamic (cold weather setup): silver traps and evenly distributes radiant heat because silver is highly reflective and has low emissivity
- Thermodynamic (warm weather setup): silver fibers are conductive, meaning they transfer heat away from the body to the outer fabric which cools but also wicks moisture
- Anti-static: high electrical conductivity means fewer accidental shocks from fabric friction
